SHERIFF  J. RANDY GRISSOM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

J.R. Grissom serves as Sheriff of the Charlotte County Sheriff\u2019s Office. He began his career in 1997 as a jailer and moved to patrol in 1998. He has worked as patrol deputy, school resource officer, and Tri-County Task Force. In 2007, he was promoted to Lieutenant over the patrol division, in 2016 he was promoted to Captain, and 2020 he was promoted to Major.  He has also served as Master Deputy, Field Training Officer, member of the Tactical Team, and serves as Police Sniper for the Sheriff\u2019s Office.  January 1, 2024 Sheriff Grissom began his term of Sheriff.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
