NOTICEThe Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for a full time Patrol Deputy. Requirements are as follows:1. Must be a citizen of the United States.2. Must undergo a background check/investigation set forth in VA Code 15.2-1705.3. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.4. Must possess a valid driver’s license.5. Must undergo a physical examination.6. Must be skilled in computer operations.7. Must possess good writing and communications skills.8. Will be required to attend and complete a twenty-four-week Law Enforcement Training Course at the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, Lynchburg, VA, which consists of written examinations, as well as, extensive physical and self-defense Training.9.
